It’s always a bummer when you have a totally awesome group and you work super well together, but ultimately can’t do anything too hard because you don’t have a tank.
Don’t get me wrong, we have taken on several encounters that were rather sticky and survived. The bottom line, though, is that there always comes a point where the rogue can’t cut it at as a dual DPS and tank.
The Mage can make up for the missing damage with massive attacks, but that backfires when the rogue can’t hold aggro because most of his attacks simultaneously decrease his aggro.
That just leaves a poor, frazzled, and overworked Templar trying desperately to keep two characters alive that are not supposed take too much damage.
Bottom line: We need a tank. A reliable tank.
